Transforming the home of ‘Minties and Jaffas’ into a modern residential beauty

The Laneways Rosebery has a colourful past.  Originally as part of the 12-hectare site of the Sweetacres Confectionary factory, creators of famed lollies Red Frogs, Minties and Jaffas.  33 Mentmore Avenue has spent much of the last 100 years as a light industrial site.  Its final identity before being developed was as a lighting parts factory.

2021 will unveil its new persona as an elegant residential community.  Boasting four 5-storey buildings, each with spectacular rooftop terraces, light-filled Studio, 1-, 2- and 3- bedroom apartments, and electric vehicle charging in the basement carpark. The Laneways creates community connectivity with a pedestrian thoroughfare that joins Mentmore Avenue, Dunning Avenue, and Sweetacres Park.  Public art dotted along the landscaped pathways will complete the picture.

The Laneways Rosebery is Ellerson Property’s “creating places for people” in action.
